On January 30, 2024, our mother, Doris Knight lost her almost decade long battle with Mixed Dementia. Throughout this difficult journey Alzheimer's San Diego provided support, education and resources that greatly assisted and enriched the quality of both her life and the lives of her family. The support given to her family, especially during the last months of her life was invaluable. Resources provided by Alzheimer's San Diego helped bring dignity, emotional support and direction during the difficult ending hours of her life. For those who wish to honor Doris's life in a meaningful manner, a contribution in her name to Alzheimer's San Diego is suggested. May we see the day soon when this horrific disease has a cure.
